Inspired by the organization that originated in his home country of Australia, Matthew Dellavedova is leading the charge of “Mo Bros” in the Cavs locker room this month. Teammates Joe Harris, Alex Kirk and Anderson Varejao are joining Delly in taking part in “Movember” to help spread awareness for men’s health issues.
As of November 1st, the four players will be donating their faces to the cause – each will start clean shaven and grow a moustache through the end of the month, in the hopes of spreading awareness and raising funds for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.
The Movember Foundation – established in Melbourne, Australia in 2003 – is the leading global organization committed to changing the face of men’s health. Since its inception, the Movember Community has spread to 21 countries and has raised more than $550 million dollars, funding more than 800 programs.
